They made their dream a reality...

Arriving in the United States in the early 1960's Mr. Anthony Scotto and his brothers began to work in their uncle?s Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, N.Y. Over the next several years a common vision began to grow of one day opening their own restaurant. In 1967 the Scotto Brothers made their dream a reality. They opened a restaurant along with their brother-in-law Domenico. The restaurant was Scotto's Pizzeria and Restaurant in Port Washington. Their business became a lifestyle of seven-day workweeks; fine-tuning their culinary skills and providing their customers with what they wanted. The team effort of hard work and diligence paid off several years later in Great Neck, when they opened their second restaurant bearing the Scotto family name.

Incorporating newfound business savvy and old-world skills, Scotto Brothers ventured into a new generation of up-and-coming family steak house concepts. The Steer Barn restaurants in Roslyn, Great Neck and Syosset featured appetizing salad bars combined with great food and reasonable prices. They found themselves with another successful concept in the business they had come to love.

The Scotto interest in the hospitality business continued. In 1978 they purchased a facility called the Dover House from Burt Bacharach and renamed it Chateau Briand. That first catering facility of the Scotto family remains the flagship of the Scotto Brothers banquet and catering properties. It has become a Long Island catering facility that many have come to enjoy. With much success, several years later Scotto Brothers purchased a couple of other catering facilities, which includes the spectacular Fox Hollow located in Woodbury, Long Island. Today the Fox Hollow host a variety of events but has certainly become known as one of the premier catering halls on Long Island.

The most recent additions to the family business includes The Inn At Fox Hollow, which is an upscale all suite boutique hotel located adjacent to the Fox Hollow. The Inn At Fox Hollow has become one of the leading all-suite hotels on Long Island. They have also recently opened a Hampton Inn property located in Princeton, New Jersey. The Hampton Inn is quite unique offering services and amenties that other hotels in Princeton, New Jersey just don't offer.

Today, Scotto Brothers is still family owned and operated with many members of the family in high-level management positions. They keep all the Scotto Brothers properties current with trends in the industry by implementing creative marketing and management programs for their staff, however, their main focus is always on their strong and successful foundation, which is comprised of food, family and a strong work ethic, which has earned them the trust of their customers.

They are committed to making every party, event and special occasion a memorable experience. If one is thinking about hosting an event on Long Island that is Above and Beyond all others, such as a wedding or any other type of social or corporate event, than Scotto Brothers is the way to go.

Today my brother Victor, our brother-in-law Domenico Tallarico and I continue to place a strong emphasis on the key principles that have brought us success as subsequent generations of the Scotto family begin to integrate themselves in our daily operations. The Scotto Brothers? philosophy of management is firmly based on people. As they are in the hospitality business, the strength of their company is drawn from the people that make up their staff. Scotto Brothers is extremely proud of the longevity record of their employees, which they maintain through continuous training programs, standard operating procedures, a shared understanding of the company's goals and mobility opportunities. With these incentives the Scotto family continues to reward personal successes and assist in the development of their employees career goals.

They hold to a tried-and-true belief in ?hands-on? management where they teach and lead by example. This means that Scotto family members and upper management personnel work side by side their staff to ensure the success of every function. The General Manager of each property is ultimately responsible for each and every event and they examine every aspect of every function on a pre and post level.

A great example of the attention they give to details is their floral program. Each facility is routinely inspected and both the interiors and exteriors of the buildings change according to the season. Fresh cut sprays of flowers can be found throughout the interiors and a wide variety of annual and perennial plants and flowers can be found the outside perimeters.

A major strength of the Scotto Brothers? organization is their Event Planners. They are equipped with a complete referral library of resources to assist with the planning of any type of event. In addition, they have developed the exclusive service of Perfect Wedding Planner and Perfect Party Planner, which are to entities that are completely committed to ones success. They make planning an event fun by guiding a customer in the right direction throughout the entire process.

Personalized attention to detail is the hallmark of their customer's satisfaction and their customer's satisfaction is their number one resource for additional business. Each event that they host is considered another opportunity to exceed ones expectations.
